TRANSFORMATOR
What is Transformator?
As the name describes, TRANSFORMATOR is a 3-month transformation program for SMEs and NGOs ready to future-proof their business. It helps organizations improve performance, optimize operations, and adopt practical sustainability practices, whether through business model adjustments, stronger financial health, or more resilient strategies.
With cohorts in Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, and now Slovenia, participants join a hands-on learning journey, guided by experts in sustainability, strategic management, and circular economy. The program also offers the chance to pitch in front of impact investors, VCs, and corporate ventures across the CEE region.

PAST EDITIONS
Over its first five editions, TRANSFORMATOR has supported 74 businesses and organizations in exploring how to transform their business models into more sustainable and competitive ones.
2024
In 2024, TRANSFORMATOR supported 36 SMEs and NGOs in aligning their operations with financial and sustainability goals. Across two editions, participants:
worked with 50 local and international experts to refine business models, cut costs, improve product durability and strengthen resilience.
focused on practical tools such as OKRs and ESG frameworks, helping businesses operate smarter
connected with participants from across CEE and took part in a pitch event, where a participant from Bulgaria won a €5,000 grant
included 4 intensive bootcamps focused on circular economy, green investments, and organizational culture.
2023
The third edition of TRANSFORMATOR ran from September to December 2023, bringing together 19 forward-thinking businesses and organizations ready to take their sustainability efforts to the next level.
Participants gained access to a hands-on, high-impact learning experience designed to generate real business value through:
A comprehensive educational module to critically assess and upgrade their current business models
Dedicated sessions with a Personal Advisory Board offering strategic feedback and guidance
Customized training addressing real organizational challenges, using the Sustainable Transformation Canvas as a practical tool for growth.
2022
From September to December 2022, TRANSFORMATOR offered participants a comprehensive and transformative learning journey, equipping them with the essential tools to advance their sustainability goals. They benefited from:
Introductory sustainability courses designed to lay a strong foundation
An offline bootcamp focused on the Sustainable Transformation Canvas, a powerful tool developed by Solutions, part of the SIS ecosystem
Sustainable financing strategies, including tailored investment sessions
Five standout organizations with the highest potential for scaling their sustainability impact were awarded 25 hours of expert consultancy from internationally recognized agencies, ensuring they had the support to accelerate their transformation.
2021
In the first edition of TRANSFORMATOR (September - November 2021), participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of high-impact activities designed to elevate their sustainability practices. They benefited from:
