ROLE: Social media specialist (Collaboration-Based)

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Media Specialist to join our team of future-oriented colleagues, here at Social Innovation Solutions. You will work with the TRANSFORMATOR team and you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies, creating engaging content, managing social media platforms, and analyzing performance metrics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and impact of sustainable businesses and NGOs.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic social media person with a background in communication and digital marketing and 3-5 years of experience. The role will sit in the Communications team, and it compiles several responsibilities and requirements, as follows. 

Position: Contract-based in Bucharest, office in the central area

Responsibilities:

Communication Strategy:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with the program's objectives 

  • Identify target audiences and create content tailored to their needs and interests.

  • Manage the program’s website and ensure the design & content are constantly updated according to the project's progress and timeline. Ensure the website communicates effectively and the TOV is suited for the target audience of the program.

  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing and sustainability initiatives relevant to the program you are assigned to.

Social Media Management:

  • Manage social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and develop an active and engaged community.

  • Create social media calendars in line with the program timeline and communication requirements and needs.

  • Schedule and publish content on social media channels using appropriate tools and platforms.

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Content Creation:

  • Create engaging and compelling content, including written posts, visuals, videos, and infographics, that informs and converts leads.

  • Collaborate with the team and other program stakeholders (partners, alumni, etc) to gather information,  identify opportunities for cross-promotion, and showcase testimonials and success stories.

  • Stay connected with sustainability-focused communities, and relevant organizations to expand the program's online presence and impact.

Performance Analysis:

  • Track and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of social media strategies.

  • Provide regular reports and insights on performance, including reach, engagement, conversions, and audience growth.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimize social media campaigns based on data-driven insights.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of all social media platforms available (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter).

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and adapt messages for different audiences.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and able to adapt to an agile culture.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency.

  • Proficiency in content creation and graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred.

  • A passion for sustainability and a genuine interest in supporting SMEs and NGOs in their sustainability journeys would be considered a plus. 

The interview process will also include a practical task to identify the suitability of the candidate.
